Testimonials

Hear Our Stories, Feel Our Impact.

Families have a tremendous responsibility to take care of their ill children. We ask social workers, medical professionals, and teachers to help us identify families in our community who may benefit from our services and to help us reach and assist families with their specific requests.

Our Initiatives in Action

Dressing up and delivering birthday cakes and gifts to patients

Valentine’s bags filled with treats, journals and crafts. One mom sent us this message “Just wanted to drop a note and thank you for the bag of treats you provided us at the DC Ronald McDonald House. At a stressful time because of our daughter’s surgery, your bag made us feel cared for”

An Uber Eats for a patient craving

One family that attended our Nationals game had just lost their 10 year old son the week before the game. They attended with their two other children and thanked us by saying “Thank you for letting us hold grief and joy in the same space today”. Another family wrote “You allowed our family to enjoy a stress free day and make a wonderful memory”. This is our mission!

Planting a special flower for a mom taking care of her terminally ill son.

Our Easter Bunny had a very busy spring! We delivered much needed supplies to the August Healthcare at Iliff facility which included sheets, blankets, socks, pajamas and lotions. One sweet patient did not want the bunny to leave!
