About Joanne

The pediatric unit of Capital Caring has experienced significant growth in recent years, prompting the establishment of a volunteer committee dedicated to its pediatric arm, Capital Caring Kids. Motivated by the committee’s achievements and aspiration to support more families, she created a 501(c)(3) organization. Joanne has dedicated the last 8 years to volunteering in hospice care.
Joanne’s contributions to building the Capital Caring Kids community have been recognized by several awards including thExecutive Leadership Award in 2022, the Volunteer Impact Award in 2024 and the Pediatric Champion Award in 2025.
