Loudoun County Elf Squad provides gifts for sick children

Congratulations to our founder, Joanne Canellos, for being the recipient of the Volunteer Impact Award at the Capital Caring Gala in April.  This is the second award she has received for her volunteering over the past 6 years.  In 2023, she was the proud recipient of the Executive Leadership Award, which she was awarded for based on her forming and chairing of the Volunteer Pediatric Committee for Capital Caring Kids

We were excited to share some holiday cheer and donated over $1,100 of gifts to the children at the August Healthcare at Iliff and Children’s National Hospital.  These sensory pillows light and play music and the projector lamps are a soothing addition to the rooms where some of these patients have permanent residency.  If you would like to help spread some joy in purchasing one of these gifts, donate on our website today!

Generosity in Action
