Point of Hope Bereavement Camp Sponsor
The Point of Hope Camp was held on October 5th in Clifton and was sponsored by Capital Caring Kids. This camp offered a supportive environment for families navigating bereavement.
Through art, music, and therapeutic sessions, children and parents explored coping mechanisms while connecting with others who understand their loss. A big thank you to BillHighway for partnering with us to donate bags full of memory making activities that families could take home.

Support for Siblings
We are very excited to be holding our first Siblings Support event in early 2025, details will be coming soon! These one day programs are designed to assist siblings who often confront unique challenges while coping with a sibling’s illness and parent’s caregiving responsibilities. Through tailored events like movie nights, paint parties and communal dinners, this program aims to provide much needed support and respite for these siblings.
A big THANK YOU to GIANT FOOD for donating $500 in Giant gift cards to support us in this first event!
Special Requests
– Arranging for balloons, goody bags, and a cake delivery to celebrate a patient’s birthday. We understand parents often have limited time to focus on anything beyond caring for their children, so we’re here to alleviate some of the planning burdens.
– Providing gift cards for restaurants to offer a well-deserved break from cooking.
– Assisting with bills such as utilities or gas expenses. Sometimes, even a small bill can be overlooked amidst the challenges of managing a child’s illness.
– Offering clothing support for a patient or a family member in need, whether a new coat or a pair of shoes.
