Our Initiatives for the Year
Funds collected will go directly to these for 2025
Day at Nats Park
This year we purchased 85 tickets with concession credits to give to families to enjoy a day at Nats park! We even included ADA seating for those patients who are in wheelchairs. These families were able to enjoy a beautiful day and most importantly, create a treasured family memory. Our goal for 2026 is to purchase 100 tickets so we can include more families! Donate $50 to purchase one ticket today!
A Day at the North Pole
Our second annual event in partnership with Christmas Tree Santas will be held December 6th. Families can enjoy an outing of picking out a live tree to take home and even get pictures with Santa! We also have fun snacks and crafts. This is a way for families to enjoy the holiday season while creating a treasured memory together! Donate $25 today to support this event!
Special Requests
In 2025, our goal is to fulfill 15 special requests. Some examples include:
– Arranging for balloons, goody bags, and a cake delivery to celebrate a patient’s birthday. We understand parents often have limited time to focus on anything beyond caring for their children, so we’re here to alleviate some of the planning burdens.
– Providing gift cards for restaurants to offer a well-deserved break from cooking.
– Assisting with bills such as utilities or gas expenses. Sometimes, even a small bill can be overlooked amidst the challenges of managing a child’s illness.
– Offering clothing support for a patient or a family member in need, whether a new coat or a pair of shoes.
